Grading Procedures

Students will have daily assignments, quizzes, tests, and various projects to demonstrate mastery of the content studied in Child Development. There will be two assignments throughout the year that will need to be completed outside of class:

1. An interview assignment

2. The infant simulator experience

*Details for these assignments will become available later during this course of study.

LATE WORK

•  1 day late = 25 points off 

•  2 days late = 50 points off 

• Over 2 days late = ZERO

SCHOOL ABSENCES

Students who are absent from school for any reason are responsible for completing assignments outside of our regular class time. All assignments will be posted in Google Classroom.

FAILING GRADES

With student or parent request, students will be given a reasonable opportunity to re-do assignments and tests for scores that fall below 70. The request must be received within 2 working days of the grade being posted in Skyward. It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements for retesting. No retests are available for semester exams or for students who received a “0” due to cheating.
