Classroom Expectations

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

• Be on time

• Electronic devices must be turned off and kept in student backpacks (completely out of sight) from first bell to last bell each school day 

• Food/snacks are not allowed in class. Clear, store-bought water bottles are allowed. When chrome books are in use, water bottles must be put away

• Student participation and input are an integral aspect of this course of study

LEAVING the CLASSROOM

Our time together is very limited, therefore, please make every effort to use the restroom before/after class. The following are the procedures to follow in the event of an emergency: 

• Sign into Elastic Pass

• Return to class as quickly as possible

• Sign back into Elastic Pass

• No more than one student at a time will be  allowed out of the classroom 

• Students are not allowed to leave class during the first or last 10 minutes 

• Same procedures are followed during RTI

ATTENDANCE/TARDIES

JISD and JHS policies will be followed and enforced. Students who are tardy must obtain a Tardy Pass from the office in order to enter class. Excessive tardiness will result in an office referral. 

BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS

Being respectful and responsible will eliminate discipline issues, however, we will follow these steps if/when behaviors become challenging:

1. Warning 

2. Student conference 

3. Parent contact 

4. Office Referral
