My name is Nicole Fielder, I was born & raised on Long Island, about 15 minutes from New York City. I went to college upstate New York, lived in Florida for 7 or so years and have been in Texas since 2011. Featured above are some of the things I love. I have been a Met fan since birth and my happy place is nowhere else but the beach.
I have been married to my husband Trent for 14 years. We were married on Mendenhall glacier in Juneau Alaska! We have 11 year old boy/girl twins who are now in the 6th grade. AHH middle school! We also have 2 big dogs, Parker & my husband's service dog Gunner.
This year will be my 14th year teaching and my 2nd year here at Joshua High School. I have a bachelors of science in environmental & forest biology and a graduate certificate in medical microbiology, immunology, and biochemistry. I am certified in life science and have taught mostly biology, but have also taught AP biology, chemistry, and integrated physics and chemistry. My favorite topic in biology is genetics and I'm also passionate about the environment and our human impact. I've coached a lot of sports over the years, but this year I am coaching boys & girls tennis :) GO OWLS! The quote on the top right is my favorite team quote.
I love my students at Joshua. I am also blessed to work with a great team of teachers as we support each other in the classroom. We do our best to keep our students engaged, critically thinking, and always striving to never settle for anything less than their best.
I am so excited you are here. This year is going to be AWESOME! I'm glad you're along for the ride. Below are some pics of my fam.
