CTE/CCA Lessons:
Our counseling team works with our Career and Technical Education (CTE) department to deliver classroom lesson plans and activities for our 7th grade students. During these projects students are introduced to the following: growth mindset, goal setting, problem solving, stackable credentials, career opportunities, college options, and more.
Job Shadow:
7th grade students will have the opportunity to "Job Shadow" someone in their desired career. Students are excused from school this day and required to complete a Job Shadow write up or assignment.
PCCR's:
Each 8th grade student will meet with their counselor to prepare for the next 4 years of high school. Parents are welcome to set up appointments that fit with their schedule, as many Plan for College and Career Readiness (PCCR's) are administered after school. These meetings will provide vital information about graduation requirements, class schedules, and information for college readiness.
Career Fair:
We invite professionals to come and present to our students about their careers.
