Purpose:
Our school-wide goal is to reduce the number of F’s in core classes for our 9th grade students.
What is Platinum Pride Time (PPT)?
PPT is time during school where ninth grade students can receive additional academic help in their core classes (Language Arts, Math, Geography, and Science). They may work on assignments, projects, and tests or quizzes. When students have recovered credit from their core classes, they may also have the opportunity to recover their elective credits.
What are the benefits of Platinum Pride Time?
PPT provides many benefits for our ninth graders:
They can make up missed work.
They don’t have to purchase packets or do school work during the summer.
It saves the student money, hassle, and time.
They are more likely to graduate on time, which reduces the possibility of them dropping out of school.
Who can participate in Platinum Pride Time?
PPT is for ninth graders who are credit-deficient (have an F) in one or more classes.
When is Platinum Pride Time held?
PPT is held during Pride Time on Monday through Thursday.
