AP English Language and Composition

     AP English Language and Composition is a college-level English course designed to give students the opportunity to explore and analyze various types of nonfiction texts, and to write their own, original arguments on a myriad of subjects.  Additionally, the class will prepare students for the AP English Language exam on May 13, 2026.  Passing this exam can result in students receiving college credit as high school students.

     This course is rigorous, and the curriculum was written to mirror that of a university English course.  Such rigor will be challenging, but ultimately, rewarding.  Students who enroll in AP English Language and Composition will develop the reading, writing, and thinking skills they need to succeed in college and the adult world.
