About Me

Hi! My name is Mallery Mitchell.  This is my tenth year at Jonesboro Public Schools - 6 years at MacArthur and 4 years here at JHS! I have been married for 25 years to Slade Mitchell and have 3 wonderful children:  Susannah (21) JHS graduate,  Anders Leigh (18) JHS graduate, and Rhett (16) Junior here at JHS.

I have a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the Pennsylvania State University and a BA in Drama and Journalism from the University of Arkansas.  I’ve performed professionally and I’ve taught theatre at Penn State, in the South Jersey public schools, the Foundation of the Arts, and the Jonesboro Pre-K, MacArthur, and now JHS. I love all things theatre but I love teaching it the most!
