Starting in 2027, the State of Arkansas requires high school students to complete 75 hours of community service to graduate. Community service hours can be acquired through activities sponsored by JHS clubs or other opportunities provided by Career Coaches. Check your email for service hours updates and opportunities offered by JHS and check within your local community for other occasions to serve.
Some examples of community service include:
Volunteering at a local food bank or soup kitchens
Helping out at school events or with younger students
Cleaning up parks or public spaces
Assisting at animal shelters
Participating in charity walks or fundraising events
These activities not only help you meet your graduation requirement, but also let you build new skills and make a difference!Â
