PROJECT LEAD THE WAY'S MISSION: EMPOWER STUDENTS TO THRIVE IN AN EVOLVING WORLD
Solving tomorrow's challenges today.
U.S. students must develop the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in the workforce, solve important challenges, and contribute to global progress.
Project Lead The Way provides a transformative learning experience.
Project Lead The Way is a nonprofit organization that provides transformative learning experiences for K-12 students and teachers across the U.S. Project Lead The Way provides a comprehensive approach to STEM Education. Through activity-, project-, and problem-based curriculum, PLTW gives students in kindergarten through high school a chance to apply what they know, identify problems, find unique solutions, and lead their own learning.
Students have the opportunity to participate in PLTW courses through The Academies at Jonesboro High School through pathways in Engineering and Biomedical Science. Through these classes, students learn 21st century skills involving problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, and how to communicate and collaborate.
