Welcome to 4th Grade!

I am so glad your child is a part of our "class family!" It is my hope that your child has a fun and successful 4th grade year. In our class, we have TONS of fun, and I also hold students strictly accountable for their behavior choices. My desire is to work with parents to create the best possible atmosphere for learning in our classroom. Every child has the right to learn in a safe environment!

Parents frequently ask what they can do at home to help their child succeed. You can:

• check their blue "take-home" folder every night, including over the weekend, too.

• help them as needed with any study (home practice) sheets sent home.

• practice math facts regularly!

• read with your child EVERY day-- yes, EVERY DAY! Try to find a book the two of you can read together and enjoy. If you ever need ideas, just let me know! Even though I teach math and science, I LOVE reading, and I want your child to LOVE to read!
