Arrival & Dismissal
Arrival - Morning drop off is from 7:35 - 8:00 am. Students are tardy at 8:05pm.
Dismissal - Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:05 pm.
Security - We will utilize our security process daily as students enter the building. Each person entering the building is required to walk through the weapon detection system.
Water Bottles
Students should wait to fill water bottles until after they enter the building. Sealed bottles are allowed, but containers should not have any liquids entering through security.
Cell phones, Air pods and other bluetooth devices are not allowed.
Cell phones are to be turned off and put away in backpacks during the school day. We make students aware on day one that cell phones are a distraction in the classroom and therefore need to be off and away.
Medications, Health Plans, or Health Support
Students who require medication or a medical care plan must have a signed doctor’s order. All medicines, including inhalers, epi-pens, and over the counter meds (Tylenol, Benadryl, etc.), must have appropriate documentation to be in the school.
Please see our nurse Bonny Morley for all needed paperwork.

NEVER received a Bus Rider Badge:
Step 1: The student needs to inform their Homeroom teacher they never received a Bus Rider Badge.
Step 2: The badge will be delivered to school and given to your student.
LOST their Bus Rider Badge:
Step 1: Use the Online School Payment website to pay the replacement cost of $5.00.
Free vision screenings and eyeglasses for children and adults:
who may have barriers to accessing vision care.
The Lions Club is providing free vision screenings and a pair of glasses to children and adults who are in need. I know school has just started, but if you have a student who is struggling to see, having difficulty seeing the board, squinting frequently, or you have another concern about their vision, please let me know.
The Lions Club is also hoping to offer a similar opportunity to families throughout Johnston County in the coming months. This is a wonderful resource and a great opportunity for our families who may otherwise have difficulty accessing glasses.
Please reach out to Mr. Procaccini if you have a student or family who may benefit from this service.

JCPS Free Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast and lunch is free for all JCPS Students. All students can pick up breakfast each morning upon arrival to eat in their homeroom classroom. Lunch will be eaten in the cafeteria with the class group.
Students are allowed to purchase single items or extra items from the cafeteria. To make a purchase, parents/guardians have to download the LINQ Connect App and sign up for a family portal, where money can be added for a student to make those purchases.
If you are a JCPS employee, it is important to note that you must use your personal email address (and not the JCPS email address) when signing up for an account to use for your student(s).
Households must have the student’s Infinite Campus ID in order to link the student when setting up the account. Households can find this information on past student records, Infinite Campus or by contacting a representative in the enrollment office.
