Course Verification & Drop/Add

If you would like to make changes to your 2022-23 course requests, please read the following information carefully. Failure to respond by the deadline (May 5th, 2022) will result in no changes for the 2022-23 school year.

In AUGUST, Drop/Add will

ONLY be for students who:

1) wish to attempt to balance the academic load,

2) wish to sequence courses,

3) have passed and/or failed a course on their schedule.

4) Seniors wishing to add late arrival, early release, early grad, or teachers assistant

5) JCC students with scheduling conflicts.

In AUGUST, Drop/Add will

NOT be for students who:

1) wish to change a requested course,

2) wish to request a different teacher.



Athletics:

To be eligible for high school athletic participation, a student must have met promotion standards set forth by the Board of Education and passed a minimum of three courses for schools on the block format. Teacher assistance, office assistance, library assistance, or laboratory assistance cannot count as one of the courses passed for eligibility. Per Board Policy and by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.

Remember, All underclassmen must have 8 courses scheduled. Seniors planning to play sports need to have three courses in the fall and two in spring.


If you are planning to take CCP/JCC courses and you do not see 99359X0CCP Non Reporting JCC on your schedule, please complete the form to add it.

If you are NOT planning to take CCP/JCC courses, but you have 99359X0CCP Non Reporting JCC on your schedule, please complete the form to drop it.

All changes to course requests must be completed through the form below by May 5th. Please be clear what you are requesting. If you are requesting an honors course that you were not recommended for, please complete the waiver and attach to the add/drop form.

Please complete the Drop/Add form AFTER you receive your course request sheet, as you will only be able to complete the form ONCE and from your JCPS email. Thanks!
