I originally came from the Philippines, I graduated with a Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Biological Science. I've been in Saudi Arabia for three years and moved to NC. I've been a Science teacher for 10 years now. This is my 2nd year in Clayton Middle. I have a son, his name is Kurt who is in 5th grade now. I like to watch Glee and Friends, Stranger Things and Game of Thrones are my favorite series. I like to collect books and read them if I have spare time. Moreover, traveling is something that excites me a lot.

Teaching Philosophy:

Education is the best gift you can give yourself that no one can take away from you. Meanwhile, Science is not just a knowledge to be learned but to be applied in everyday lives. These are the important things that we should achieve in our Science class:

a. develop curiosity and solve problems using scientific knowledge;

b. demonstrate responsibility and good discipline in every Science task;

c. discover Science as a preparation for future opportunities.

This is Power Rain- ger which my previous students built. It was inspired by the water drainage pipe built in houses where the rain drained down from the roof. What they did was to make a prototype power source using a hydroelectric power mechanism. The project actually won 2nd place in district level.

All I did here is to supervise and helped them with the paperwork. This experience, always reminds me how young minds (Science students) are very imaginative, creative and innovative.
