The trip to the park
by Harris
The trip to Adventure Ridge Park on Friday, September 27th was a success as almost everybody in Mission and whoever else did it enjoyed it.
People enjoyed the walk there because they got to talk to their friends, and the walk there was definitely worth it. There were several activities that were set up at the park such as football, soccer, kickball, and of course, playing on the playground.
We were there for about an hour to an hour and a half. People were sad when they had to walk back, but they were glad they had gotten to go to the park in the first place.

Dogs at school? That doesn’t sound right!?!?! Well we have 3 great therapy dogs at summit and today we will be talking about one! Dex: you might wonder what breed dex is here let me tell you dex is a Red Fox Labrador. They are fast and known for their friendly outgoing personality. He also loves doing tricks like sit, lay down, and stay. He also has a paw for “good morning” and a paw for “good afternoon.”He loves playing fetch with his red frisbee! *That's his favorite toy!* isn’t he so cute! Well that's all we have for today, bye!
THERAPY DOGS!!!!!
by Max R.
I chose this topic because I’m passionate about dogs.
Ive always loved how dogs are so silly and playful.
It interests me how hard they work to get trained and help people.
i like seeing them come into my classes, I don’t try to crowd them though.
Time for my favorite, facts!!
It usually takes about six to eight weeks for a therapy dog to be trained.
There are more than 50,000 therapy dogs in the US.
Winnie is one of four dogs in my school, her owner is Mrs. Larson, Winnie usually stays in the Voyage community. Winnie is a four year old golden retriever.
One time Winnie came in my FCS class and everyone was crowding her, I recommend not to crowd therapy/service dogs, it could distract them from their job, or aggravate them, and always ask the owner before you interact with a dog.
Especially don’t interact with therapy/service dogs in training. It could cause trouble.
