Johnston Girls Basketball

The reigning 2024 state champions: the Johnston girls basketball team are on fire and  undefeated for the 2024-25 season, as well as ranked the 16th team in the nation. So far they have had 12 games and have won all of them. Their next game is Friday, 1/31 against Valley at JHS. Their  team has very strong players including Jenica Lewis, Amani Jenkins, Kelli Kalb, Ari Phillips, Daya Phillips and others. The head coach of the team is Chad Jilek, who has been coaching the girls basketball team for 13 seasons.

Lexi Rodriguez

Lexi Rodriguez is a professional volleyball player on the LOVB (League One Volleyball) Omaha team. She graduated from the University of Nebraska after playing as their libero for four years. While she was at Nebraska she helped lead her team to the semi finals and the finals of the NCAA tournament. She finished off her Nebraska career with 1,897 digs. Lexi was also a 2024 AVCA National Player of the Year finalist, and the first-ever libero named AVCA Regional Player of the Year, and she was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season.

FC Barcelona (soccer team)

     The team called FC Barcelona or in other words “Fútbol Club Barcelona” is a football club that has had a lot of success in terms of their players, such as Lionel Messi who played in the early age of 18, and played there for 17 years before he joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Neymar Da Silva. Neymar Jr came to Barcelona in 2013 from Santos when he was just 21. The best Barcelona players ever, from Pep to Pedro, from Maradona to Messi. There have been many legendary players that have been in Barcelona. Plus the team is also known to be Third in all team rankings of all time.

Wardell Stephen curry

Wardell Stephen Curry was born on March 14th, 1989.

Stephen Curry grew up in a household full of athletes. His brother Seth curry who is currently still in the NBA, his dad who played in the NBA Dell curry and his mom who played volleyball Sonia Curry. Stephen Curry is the golden warriors best ever point guard. He is the all time leading three point scorer. Off the court Stephen Curry loves to golf with his dad, wife and more. Stephen Curry also has a kind heart. He is a great guy. Stephen Curry is from Akron, Ohio

Football Scores

There have been many college Football games over January, and these are all of the scores for most of them. On January 1st, there was Ohio State vs Oregon, in their game they had a score of 41-21, Ohio State winning, and a game with Texas vs Arizona state with a score of 39-31, Texas winning. On January 2nd, we had Notre Dame vs Penn State,ending with a score of 27-24, Notre Dame winning. On January 10th, there was a game of Ohio State vs Texas, Ohio easily winning again, 34-23. Lastly, on January 20th, Ohio State versus Notre Dame, their game ending with a score of 34-23, Ohio State winning. That is most of the scores for football over january.

Real Madrid

My favorite player in Real Madrid so far is Thibaut courtois. Real Madrid is doing well this season, they also won the champions league title. There are also other good players such as  Vinicius jr , David alaba , Eder milito , luka modric and more. Real Madrid also won 36 other champions league titles, 20 copa  del Rey trophies and 13 super copa de espana. Their current coach is Carlo Ancelotti.

  THE PACKERS SEASON

The Packers season was not as expected but they ended up making the playoffs let’s say their season was off and on.  The Packers ended the season with a loss to the Eagles. But they also started the season with a loss to the Eagles in Brazil. The Packers went 1-5 in the division and finished the season with a 11-6 record and 5 of their 6 losses are from playoff teams. And the other loss to the bears so there is the packers season recap.
