Our STLP team visited Ponderosa Elementary in Boyd county to share our READER LEADER project with 5th graders. We presented to over 100 students and staff members. Our STLP team shared our accomplishments from last year. We also shared reading strategies, our website and YouTube channel we created. Our team presented how we are going to update the website throughout this year and how we are also in progress of creating an app to help primary students track their reading. Reader Leaders are still reading with 1st graders throughout the year to help build confidence in reading and share RISE reading strategies with younger students.

Reader Leader

Older students are reading with younger students. This is allowing students to build confidence while gaining additional reading support. The leaders are benefiting from this because they are exhibiting leadership skills.

Mr. Eerenberg- principal of Ponderosa Elementary    loved our Reader Leader project!!
