The McHenry County Honor Band represents the best in Instrumental Music offered in the McHenry County High Schools have to offer. Auditions and Placements into this ensemble each year is a major honor for young Musicians in this county.

ILMEA DISTRICT 7 HONOR BAND (Sophomore-Senior)
The Illinois Music Education Association District 7 Honor Band are designed to evaluate the students who reside in District 7 on their technical and musical abilities in all registers with both prepared material and sight reading. Percussion auditions are designed to evaluate a student's technical and musical abilities in the major facets of concert percussion performance (i.e., timpani, keyboard percussion, snare drum and auxiliary percussion) with both prepared material and sight reading.
