🏀Lady Patriots 🏀
Our Lady Patriots are currently ranked number 1 in New Orleans and number 5 in Louisiana. Their overall record is 14-3 with their last win being at home. The girls work very hard which shows with how many titles and wins they have achieved. Having fans and a big support system during games helps each player perform their best and really show what they have to offer. Please come out and support our lady patriots!
The JCCS Girls Basketball Team was honored with a special ring ceremony where they received their 2024 State Championship rings in the lower school gym on January 27, 2025. We are so proud of our girls for securing the title of "2024 State Champions!"
Interviews
1. What has been your most memorable moment on the court?
When I scored 30 points against a decent team.
2. What was our most memorable game?
The state championship game.
3. How do you balance academics while also focusing on your basketball commitments?
I just know that when I'm in school I focus on my school work but when school is over I focus on basketball. I basically just know how to turn it on and off when it comes to those two things.
1. How do you prepare mentally and physically for a game?
I mentally prepare for the game by praying, and setting my mind on the important and positive things that I need to focus on. I physically prepare for a game by taking ice baths the day before, stretching, and getting things checked by the trainer that's bothering me.
2. How do you stay motivated after losing a game?
I reflect on the things that I did wrong and what I could've done better to help the team and I work on it in practice and execute it the right way.
3. What tips would you give to someone who's going out for basketball?
During practice, give 100% every time. Be a team player , hustle back on defense and contribute on offense and if a teammate misses a shot give positive encouragement.
1. What does teamwork mean to you?
Teamwork means working with others and knowing how to listen to other people's perspective
2. What drew you to play basketball over other sports?
I honestly feel like the teamwork and working others drew me to the sport.
3. How do you want your teammates to remember you?
I would want my teammates to remember me as a happy, goofy, and funny person.
