Journalism class is a learning environment where students engage in the art of storytelling and the principles of responsible reporting. In this class, students learn to research, write, and edit news articles, while also developing new photography skills. The dedication is shown by each student in the countless hours they spend brainstorming story ideas, conducting interviews, and reviewing their work to ensure accuracy. As they piece together the school newspaper and yearbook, students work together to create a cohesive narrative that captures the essence of their community.

Coach Paige has been teaching at John Curtis for three years. she found inspiration in her passion for photography and knowledge, gained from her college experience. She believes that the most important skill for journalism students to learn is design, as it plays a crucial role in effective storytelling. One of her favorite aspects of being a journalism teacher is the opportunity to engage with students in a fun and creative environment that encourages exploration. Additionally, a fun fact about her is that she played two sports during her college years.

Haylee has been attending John Curtis for four years and developed a passion for Journalism because she loves to express people's reactions and experiences while they enjoy their school year. Her favorite article to write is the monthly Home Page, which serves as the first impression for readers. Her favorite event to photograph was Mardi Gras at the lower school. A fun fact about Haylee is that she is the editor of both the Newspaper and the Yearbook.
Aubrey has been attending John Curtis for four years and decided to take Journalism because of her passion for photography. Her favorite article to write was the Student Spotlight, which allowed her to learn more about her classmates. Among the various events she has photographed, her favorite was the volleyball games. A fun fact about Aubrey is that she is an only child.
Brianna has been attending John Curtis for seven years and recently decided to take up Journalism to try something new. Among the various articles she's written, her favorite has been the Teacher Feature, allowing her to explore the unique stories of her educators. She enjoyed capturing the excitement at football events. A fun fact about Brianna is that she once played the role of the Grinch for Patriot Feud.
Kate has been attending John Curtis for sixteen years and developed a passion for Journalism due to her love for digital creations, finding joy in capturing memories through photography and presenting them in creative formats for everyone to enjoy. Her favorite article to write was titled "Halloween Fun," and among the events she enjoyed photographing, the virtual watch party and pep rally for the volleyball state championship, as well as the lower school holiday celebrations, stood out as particularly memorable. A fun fact about Kate is that she has a strong love for spicy foods, buffalo wings, hot chips, and jalapeños.
Caroline has been attending John Curtis for two years and chose to take Journalism because she wanted to capture the essence of school life through photography, documenting the various events that occur at Curtis. Her favorite articles to write are centered around football, and she particularly enjoyed taking pictures at the first football game in the Superdome, as well as the playoff games. A fun fact about Caroline is that she has traveled to the Philippines, adding to her diverse experiences and perspectives.

Caroline has been attending John Curtis for sixteen years. Her enthusiasm for journalism was sparked by Mrs. Naccari, who encouraged her to embrace her creativity. Molly has been attending John Curtis for two years and decided to pursue journalism because of her passion for digital art and design. Rylee has been attending John Curtis for five years and decided to take Journalism in order to try something new, as well as to contribute to school events through photography and the yearbook. Her favorite article to write was about Veteran’s Day, while her preferred event for taking pictures was the football games. A fun fact Rylee is that she once accidentally ran over her dad with a car, resulting in him breaking both his legs and all his toes.
