The John Curtis Christian School softball team ended the regular season with a record of 21-6. The lady patriots were 4-0 in district play and entered the playoffs ranked 2nd in division 1. Congratulations to Head Coach Jerry Godfrey who was selected as the catholic league softball coach of the year!
Congratulations to our girls softball team on their State Runner-Up finish! The Lady Patriots left it all out on the field in the championship game, but fell short in a 2-1 loss against Chapelle. Just one day earlier, the Lady Patriots shut down Pineville 9-7. Freshman Kinsley McInnis hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning of the semifinal game which allowed the Patriots to advance to the championship game the following day. Senior Katelynn Kempton said, "Even though we didn't end on top, I loved every moment I've been able to experience with this team. This team and the other seniors hold a special place in my heart with times I'll always cherish. It's so sad to leave this way, but I hope did my job as a senior and left my mark on the program." Although it was an emotional ending to the season with a bittersweet ending, the Lady Patriots have much to be proud of!
