Tree climbing 攀樹
During our winter and summer vacations, we often have tree climbing. After the instructor explains some safety precautions, they help us put on safety gear and then we climb using our own strength. After climbing, our hands, feet, and bottom can be quite sore, but sitting on the branches feels really cool.
在我們寒暑假的時候，常會舉辦「攀樹」的活動。在講師講解一些注意事項後，會幫我們穿上安全裝備，讓我們用自己的力量爬上去。爬完之後手腳和屁股都會很痛，但是坐在樹枝上感覺很酷。
Bangdi 梆笛
We practice the bangdi (a type of bamboo flute) at noon and after school. When guests come to the school, it's the perfect opportunity for the bangdi class to show off our skills. We play beautiful songs and receive applause from everyone, which makes me very happy! When I first started learning the bangdi, I couldn't play it at all and really wanted to give up—but now that I've learned it, I'm very happy.
我們練梆笛的時間是中午和下午放學的時候。如果有來賓來到學校，就是梆笛班大展身手的時刻。我們吹奏優美的歌曲，得到了大家的掌聲，讓我覺得好開心！以前剛學梆笛的時候，怎麼吹都吹不出來，真的好想放棄──可是我現在學會了，讓我覺得很開心。
Pottery 陶藝課
Our school invited professional teachers to teach us pottery. They are all very kind and allow us to use our creativity to make our own work. We all find it a lot of fun.
我們學校邀請了外面的老師來教我們陶藝，他們都很好，會讓我們自己發揮創意做成自己的作品。我們都覺得很好玩。
Indigo dyeing藍染
Indigo dyeing is a method of dyeing fabric a deep blue color. Every year, we create different items, such as tote bags and clothes. When we do the Indigo dyeing, we tightly roll the fabric and then soak it in the dye solution. As a result, each person's pattern is unique. We can also use small tools or repeat the soaking process to create specific designs. After drying, we take photos with our one-of-a-kind creations.
藍染是一種把布料染成靛色的方法，我們每年都會做不同的東西，比方說手提袋、衣服等。製作過程會把布料用力捲起再泡到藥水中。所以每個人的圖案一定都不一樣，也可以用一些小道具、或是重複浸泡來做出特定的圖案。做完晾乾後，我們會跟自己獨一無二的作品拍照。
Rice cultivation 種稻米
A very important part of the curriculum at Jing-Liao Elementary School is rice cultivation. The teacher will teach us about the types of rice, the steps of planting and many other things, and then we all work together to plant the rice. When planting rice, we have to pull out weeds and watch out for insects, birds, and even deal with typhoons. Seeing the rice grow is a very fulfilling experience.
菁寮國小的課程中有一個很重要的部分就是種稻米，老師會帶我們認識稻米的種類、種植的步驟等許多事情，再開始全班一起種植。過程中要拔掉雜草、注意蟲和鳥，甚至是颱風。能看到稻米長大是一件很有成就感的事情。
Visit to the Orchid Exhibition 蘭花展參訪
Houbi District in Tainan City is home to many orchid greenhouses and is known as a hub for orchid cultivation. Every year, the Tainan City Government hosts the International Orchid Show, which draws large crowds of visitors from near and far.
台南市後壁區是蘭花培育溫室的聚集地，台南市政府每年都會舉辦國際蘭展，經常吸引大批遊客。
