College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) is Texas’s way of measuring whether students graduate from high school prepared for their next step—whether that is college, entering the workforce, or serving in the military. Students can demonstrate readiness in several ways, including college-readiness assessments, dual credit or advanced coursework, earning an industry-based certification, completing an associate degree, or meeting other state-approved readiness criteria.
CCMR is established in Texas law and is an important part of the state’s A–F accountability system for public schools. The Texas Education Agency uses CCMR data to evaluate how successfully schools and districts are preparing graduates for life after high school.
At Jourdanton High School, our goal is to help every student identify a CCMR pathway that aligns with their Personal Graduation Plan, interests, and goals for life after graduation. Students should begin planning for CCMR early in high school and work with their counselor to monitor their progress toward becoming college, career, or military ready.
