Hi families! My name is Mrs. Phoebe Aguilar, and I’m here to support your child’s growth, learning, and well-being. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), I have advanced training in helping children succeed not only in school, but also socially and emotionally.
Here’s how I support students every day:
🧠 Social–Emotional Support
Teach SEL (Social Emotional Learning) lessons in classrooms once a month (topics like kindness, friendship, self-control, problem-solving, and respect).
Help students learn how to manage emotions, build positive relationships, and solve conflicts in healthy ways.
These services are by request or referral and need a DIFFERENT consent and parent call.
Meet with students one-on-one when they need a safe place to talk.
Provide small group sessions for kids with similar needs (examples: making friends, building confidence, coping with big changes).
These are short-term, solution-focused supports—if a child needs long-term therapy, I help connect families with outside resources.
Evidence Based Therapy for the curveballs life throws our way (deaths/grief in the family, marital changes with parents, test/school anxiety, making friends, keeping friends, changes in mood or behavior, etc)
I help offer emergency services as a Mental Health First Responder.
🏫 Supporting the School Community
Partner with teachers to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs in the classroom.
Collaborate with parents to set up strategies that help children thrive at home and at school.
Work closely with administrators and staff to make sure our school is a safe, welcoming place for all students.
Every day looks a little different, but you might find me…
Teaching a classroom SEL lesson
Meeting with a student individually or in a group
Checking in with kids who need a little extra support (ex; deaths/grief in the family, marital changes with parents, test/school anxiety, making friends, keeping friends, changes in mood or behavior, etc)
Helping with conflict resolution between peers
Talking with teachers about student needs
Calling or meeting with parents to share strategies and encouragement
🎓 What Makes Me Different as an LPC-Associate & NCC
LPC-Associate: This means I’ve completed a master’s degree in counseling, passed state exams, and am licensed both nationally and by the state to provide professional counseling while continuing advanced supervised training. It ensures I’m using ethical, evidence-based practices to help children.
NCC (National Certified Counselor): A national credential that shows I’ve met a high standard of knowledge, skills, and professionalism in counseling. While also upholding a NATIONAL level of ethics and practice.
Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and capable of success. My role is to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally—so they can shine in school and in life.
