Hello! I am Mrs. Bach, formerly Ms. Baker, and I am a Reading Lab and English Language teacher. Literacy is the foundation of all learning, and my goal at JFKS is to provide targeted, research-based instruction that helps every student grow as a reader and writer. A student who can read confidently, comprehend fully, and write clearly opens doors to worlds of discovery in science, math, literature, and history
We use the Sonday System as a key intervention because it is structured, multisensory, and based on the Science of Reading. It teaches skills in a clear, systematic way and provides the repetition and support struggling readers need to make steady, meaningful progress.
