Holocaust Remembrance day, January 27, 2026

Each year on Holocaust Remembrance Day, a small group in Dubno remembers the destroyed Jewish community of Dubno. The pictures below were sent to me by my friend Erna, a former city official in Dubno, who helped to organize this commemoration. We regularly exchange emails. As she is conversant only in Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish, she writes to me in Ukrainian and I respond in Ukrainian with help of DeepL Translator. In her note, she included the following, 

"З метою вшанування пам’яті жертв Голокосту у науково-освітньому відділі Заповідника  м.Дубно розгорнуто книжкову виставку -  реквієм «Свіча  Голокосту не згасне».

На тематичній виставці представлена історична література, документи, книги пам’яті, художні твори та статті з періодичних видань, фото меморіалу пам’яті загиблих дубенчан у Холоні (Ізраїль), експонати з фондової збірки, які висвітлюють ці трагічні сторінки історії.

27 січня у палаті Рози народилась Софійка. Традиційне вітання від членкинь  "Клубу інтелектуальних жінок Дубенщини "Волинська азалія"

"In order to honor the memory of the victims of the Holocaust, the scientific and educational department of the Dubno Reserve has organized a book exhibition-requiem entitled “The Candle of the Holocaust Will Not Be Extinguished.”

The thematic exhibition features historical literature, documents, memorial books, works of art and articles from periodicals, photos of the memorial to the victims of Dubno in Holon (Israel), and exhibits from the collection that shed light on these tragic pages of history.
