President’s Volunteer Service Award

JET is a Certifying Organization (CO) for administering PVSA to volunteers. The Presidential Volunteer Service Award is a national honor recognizing sustained service. JET is an official certifying organization for this program. Recipients can receive an official lapel pin, personalized certificate of achievement, and a congratulatory letter from the president. Gold, silver and bronze awards are based on the number of documented volunteer hours served over 12 consecutive months.

As a Certifying Organization, we will identify eligible recipients, verify their service hours, and distribute the AWARD to outstanding volunteers. We invite you to apply for this AWARD, if you meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the table below, by contacting secretary@jetusa.org. We encourage JET volunteers to register at https://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/register-vo and enter Record of Service Key WVM-62518 to have Jet as your certifying organization.

Given your ongoing service activities, many of you may already meet the requirements to receive the AWARD. To qualify, volunteers simply submit a record of their service hours to JET USA, and we verify the service and distribute the AWARD.

For those volunteers who haven't accumulated enough hours of service to be eligible for the AWARD, we encourage you to contact us at secretary@jetusa.org to sign up for additional volunteer projects available through our organization.

Prajna kids are also qualified for service hours contributed through VT Seva our sister organization.

Additionally, eligible volunteer service hours are not limited to those performed on behalf of JET USA. In fact, service hours can be accumulated through work on a variety of projects throughout the year. The only requirement is that the hours be completed within 12 months and 60% of the volunteer hours are through JET USA. Recipients can qualify for a new AWARD each year. Volunteer hours have to be submitted by the end of the year (Dec 31st). Please get your hours certified by the local JET USA coordinator before submission.
