Merit-Based Ranking: Applicants are evaluated on a comprehensive 100-point scale, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process based on academic and personal achievement.
Performance-Driven Evaluation: Your hard work pays off—the ATI TEAS Exam and GPA carry the most weight, accounting for the majority of your total score.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite courses must be completed with a B- or higher grade to be considered. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
Master the TEAS: Aim high on your ATI TEAS Exam! Scores of 90% or higher earn a massive 35 points toward your application. (75 minimum score - See rubric for a full points breakdown)
Science Mastery: Your performance in core science prerequisites is vital, with a top-tier GPA (3.76+) granting you 10 points.
Consistent Performance: We value your entire academic journey. An overall GPA of 3.76 or higher adds another 10 points to your total.
Priority for Jessup Students: We reward our own! Current Jessup students receive an 8-point boost on their application. (Must attend the Spring semester before applying)
Local Roots: As a community-focused university, we offer 6 additional points to residents of the Greater Sacramento Region.
Military Appreciation: We are proud to support those who serve. Veterans and active military members receive 4 points in recognition of their service.
Beyond the Classroom: Your background matters. We award points for relevant work history, volunteerism, leadership roles, and mission-based experiences.
Diverse Perspectives: Additional points are available for students from underserved communities, those receiving state/federal assistance, or those who have already completed a prior degree.
Personal Connection: Every applicant is evaluated through a personal statement and letters of recommendation, allowing our faculty to get to know the person behind the transcript.

Must be free from DUI, Drug, and felony criminal convictions.

ATI TEAS - A score of 75 or higher is required.
(*) Science prerequisites must be completed with a B- grade or higher. A minimum of two completed science prerequisites required to apply to the BSN program.
(**) Starting the Summer 2027 application cycle, "Intro to Chemistry with Lab" will replace "pathophysiology".
(***) Starting the '26-'27 Catalog Year.
English Composition: A year of English Composition (ie. ENGL 101A & 101B or ENGL C1000 & ENGL C1001)
Mathematics: Eligibility to take a college level math (Statistics Required. College Algebra also recommended)
History: One transferrable history course (US History or World History recommended)
Sociology: (Social Anthropology or Social Psychology also accepted)
Fine Arts: ( Any lecture-based art, music, or theater theory and discussion type course, ie. Art/Music Appreciation)
Christian Perspective: Jessup-only integrative capstone (taken during last year of instruction)
