Let's begin with your log in. All email addresses in our environment follow this format: firstname.lastname@jessamine.kyschools.us
Certified and Classified Staff: This is the account you will use to log on to a PC laptop or desktop, a Chromebook, or into your email. If you work in a location that has Apple/iMac computers, you must make arrangements with your building's District Technician to setup an account. You will need to submit a help desk ticket: https://helpdesk.jessamine.kyschools.us
Our password policy is now referred to as a passphrase. This means your password must contain at least 15 characters. Numbers, capital letters or special characters are not required (but you can include those things if you choose).
When your email account is fully created and ready for logging in, you will receive an email (to the personal email you provided on the AUP form you completed in Talent Ed) from our District Technology Office.
It is important that you register for Self Service Password Reset. You will need to change your password every 6 months (DTO will send out a reminder in March and September each year) and registering for this system will allow you to do so easily. Once registered (you can choose either secondary email or cell phone, you don't need to do both), use this link to reset your password if you choose.
