JMS Drobotics

Our team did an amazing job in the summer of 2019! We went to the University of Idaho in Moscow and swept the board, taking first in all categories and ultimately taking home the grand prize - a trip to NASA in Houston, Texas.

It was an incredible journey with an incredible group of students. We are excited to do it again this next year - Mars or Bust!

You can check out our journey on Twitter or Instagram - #JMSDrobotics

More information can be found about our team at KMVT's report on our adventure. KMVT JMS places first in Apollo 11 challenge wins trip to NASA

ROADS on Mars is shaping up to be an incredible season, full of great new challenges.

Hope to see you there!

JMS Coded Minds: First Tech Challenge

New this past year, we added the next level to our Robotics First Team - a 7th/8th grade team.

While we continued to program our robots, we no longer used Lego materials but rather materials such as metal and wires. What a fun, new challenge for us this past year!

Our students were amazing! We had such a fun time at the competition and presenting to the judges. Our team represented Jerome Tigers well, walking away with the Judges Award.

We couldn't have made it through the season without the wonderful support of so many. DEKA and Qualcomm Inc. gave us the jump start we needed in funding to start our robot. FIRST Tech Challenge Grant team helped us find the grant. Jerome School District Foundations helped us with more supplies including an amazing 3D printer that was a lifesaver! Franklin Building Supply in Jerome, ID was monumental in helping us set up our classroom. And of course, our amazing Build Coach, Chris. We would be lost without him. And last but certainly not least, Thank You so much to the wonderful teams who were our amazing mentors - Tesla Coils and High Voltage Couch Bananas!

Check out FIRST Nevada's YouTube Channel for our competition footage and don't forget to click on the links to find more videos.
