John Hattie talks about the importance of making learning/thinking visible. The more we can give our students strategies to organize thoughts, the better. "Thinking Maps" is a strategy that can be used by learners of all levels. We have a few folks who are trained, or are in the process of getting trained, to teach others how to use these valuable tools.
