For Summer Reading Resources
Research indicates that students can experience a "summer slide"āa measurable regression in academic skills, particularly in reading and math, during the long summer break.Ā
To combat this learning loss and keep young minds actively engaged, we encourage participation in summer reading programs. Your local public library offers fantastic summer reading programs with incentives and activities for all ages! Additionally, there are numerous free programs available this summer, such as Barnes & Noble's Summer Reading Journal and Pizza Hut's BOOK IT! program, designed to make reading fun and rewarding.Ā
Let's work together to ensure a summer of continuous growth and a strong start to the new school year!
