A public, easy-to-reference information literacy/research curriculum developed in collaboration with classroom teachers and guaranteed to all students. The skills needed for seeking quality information need to be taught by all teachers across the curriculum and librarians need to be leaders in developing and articulating this curriculum.
Multifunctional learning commons spaces easily reconfigured depending on learning needs. These spaces should facilitate studying, researching, meeting, creating, collaborating, and sharing of student projects.
Online student-run discussion groups or book clubs depending on student interest. Students blogging or otherwise networking about what they are reading.
Librarians reviewing and promoting what they are reading through their own blogs or social media.
Daily, dynamic updates about activities and resources available in the libraries. These should be easily available on library website, apps and through social media.
Libraries which are demonstrably indispensable to every professional in the JUFSD.
