New Quizzes

In Blackboard, you knew them as Tests, but in Canvas you’ll learn to know them as New Quizzes. This is where you will deploy assessments to your students. You will find that you have tons of question types available to you. Additionally, if you have a student who has accommodations from the Office of Educational Accessibility (OEA), you will be able to set the accommodation for the student not for each individual quiz. No more forgetting to give your student double time to complete their quiz! Set it once and forget it!

One important thing to note is that Classic Quizzes are going to go away (slated to happen in about a year). If New Quizzes has all of the things you need, you may want to simply use those so you do not have to learn two Quiz types. If you had Tests in Blackboard, they came over as Classic Quizzes, but you can migrate them to a New Quiz. How do you tell what type of quiz you have? Classic Quizzes have a rocket ship that is not filled in. New Quizzes has a rocket ship that is filled in.
