Course Description:
AP Psychology introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. The course will cover facts, principles, and phenomena associated with the following topics within psychology: History and Approaches; Research Methods; Biological Bases of Behavior; Sensation and Perception; Learning; Cognition; Motivation, Emotion, & Personality; Developmental Psychology; Clinical Psychology; and Social Psychology.
This is a rigorous, college-level course, requiring copious amounts of reading and writing assignments, as well as frequent multiple-choice quizzes and in-class Free Response Questions.
Sample of 1 unit workload (roughly 3 weeks):
Generally around 100 pages of reading (varies by unit), with daily quizzes
