Business Marketing and Finance

Southern High School's professional academy is business marketing and finance. Within this academy, students can choose to participate in finance or marketing.

Each pathway provides students with a comprehensive four-year program that integrates technology into the learning of finance and marketing concepts. Preparing students to meet challenges that face business and industry is the goal of the business staff. To meet this ambitious objective, certified instructors strive to keep abreast of the latest technological advances.

iGen Educator Spotlight

"Ms. O’Shea has high expectations of her students and she shows them that she has the confidence in them to accomplish anything in math. Her classroom is safe and the students give feedback to each other daily along with encouragement. Students who struggle in the hallways and in other classes with behavior are on task and engaged each day that they are in Ms. O’Shea’s class. Within her lessons, she asks every student, every day to be an active participant and they do this willingly because of their respect for her. Even after all of these years, O’Shea is still one of the BEST!" - Mrs. Hill, Assistant Principal

"Ms. Deborah is a teacher I've known since my freshman year.  She was my Algebra teacher, now she's my Forensic Science teacher.  She's helped me out a lot and let's me take a break when I need it.  I know I can always count on her.” - Ameila Rogers, 2022-2023 10th Grader
