March Deadlines
2024 Huff Scholarship deadlines 3-15-24
Requirements: In 500 + words, please submit an essay describing your leadership roles and/or your community activities.
Copy of your transcript and your SAT and/or your ACT scores.
Obtain and submit a recommendation letter from your school counselor which shall include your ACT or SAT super score and verify your strong attendance.
Obtain and submit a recommendation letter from another staff member or a community member.
Please submit a cover letter that includes your name, high school you attend, and a statement to the committee on how this scholarship will financially assist with your future success and what other scholarships you will be or anticipate receiving.
Amount: 1.) an annual $5,000 award for four consecutive years for a total of $20,000 or 2.) a onetime award of $5,000.

Alpha Lambda Education Foundation Academic Scholarship deadline 12-04-23
Requirements: Eligible applicant(s) will be a male high school senior of African American descent planning to attend an accredited University/College for the
2024 – 2025 Academic Year. Eligibility also requires a minimal grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, residence in the Metro Louisville area, and completion of the required essay. Late and/or incomplete application packets will not be considered.Amount: $1,000
April Deadlines
JCFB scholarship deadline 4-30-24
Requirements: Jefferson County Farm Bureau will award one regular college scholarship for the current school year. The amount of this scholarship is $2,000 per semester, with a cap of $16,000. Scholarships can be applied to tuition, housing, books, supplies, etc. Payments are made directly to the student and will be distributed after successful completion of each college semester. Applicants will be judged on leadership, scholarship, and financial need.
Amount: $2,000 per semester
JCFB ANDREW WAYNE BUTLER MEMORIAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP deadline 4-30-24
Requirements: Jefferson County Farm Bureau will award one scholarship per year to a student pursuing a degree in an agriculture-related field. The amount of this scholarship is $2,000 per semester, with a cap of $16,000. Scholarships can be applied to tuition, housing, books, supplies, etc. Payments are made directly to the student and will be distributed after successful completion of each college semester. Applicants will be judged on leadership, scholarship, and financial need.

May Deadlines
JCTA Exemplary Student Scholarship deadline 5-10-24
Requirements: JCTA is offering $1000 Exemplary Student Scholarships to two Jefferson County Public School seniors. Scholarship funds will be released upon receipt of the recipient’s class schedule with the official seal submitted by August 30, 2025. Scholarship applications must be received by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 10, 2024.
Students must complete this Google form in its entirety.

Response to required two-part essay question, following these guidelines:
Question #1: Why do you want to become a teacher?
Question #2: How will you advocate for students?
Note: If any of the components are incomplete or missing, the application will be void.
