ACCOUNTABILITY AND DATA SYSTEMS

The JCPS Accountability and Data Systems (ADS) Team provides support and guidance to schools concerning the state accountability system (KSA), graduation and dropout. ADS supports the community by filling Open Records Requests (ORRs) for the media and general public. ADS also directly supports state and federal level assessments such as the state required Civics test and the National Assessment for Educational Progress (NAEP).

Can’t find the information you need in our published data? You may be able to access existing, secondary JCPS information and data through an Open Records Request. Contact the Open Records Office at (502) 485-3583.

All requests to collect new data and information (e.g., surveys) from JCPS schools, students, or staff must be approved by the JCPS IRB, including from partners and JCPS staff pursuing degrees.

Notice: JCPS administrators and staff will not provide you with student data or other personally identifiable information directly as this is a violation of privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). In addition, they cannot legally agree to conduct research or sign contracts without review and approval by JCPS General Counsel and the JCPS IRB to comply with other federal and Kentucky laws as well as Jefferson County Board of Education (JCBE) policies.
