Business and Communications Academy Pathways
The BCA offers four select pathways for students at PRP High School.
BCA Informational Slides with Commentary
Cinematography and Video Production
Taught by Mrs. Huff, the Cinematography and Video Production pathway offers a chance for up close and personal experience in the field. Our students use state-of-the-art equipment that is relative to a career in cinematography and end their career with several real-life experiences that they can take with them to their profession. Students in the Cinematography and Video Production pathway will become transition ready by earning industry certifications or passing an End of Program Assessment.
Graphic Design
New to the BCA this year is Graphic Design, formerly in our MED Academy!
Our Graphic Design pathway is centered around hands-on learning and productivity, taught by Mrs. Marable and Mr. Willis. Graphic Design students are awarded opportunities to not only design but also create their products for real-world experience! Students in the Graphic Design pathway become transition ready by earning industry certification or completing the End of Program (EOP) assessment.
Marketing
Taught by Mrs. Danzinger, Mrs. Hawks, and Mr. White, the Marketing pathway offers opportunities for students to learn more about perfecting their business and showcasing their ideas to the world. Students in the Marketing pathway will become transition ready by earning industry certifications or passing an End of Program Assessment.
Teaching and Learning
The Teaching and Learning pathway is taught by Mrs. Vines and Ms. Saunders. Within this pathway, our students are granted an opportunity to learn in college courses through the University of Louisville, as well as gain hands-on experience within high school, middle school, and elementary school classrooms. Students in this pathway will become transition ready by completing 9 hours of college credit through the University of Louisville.
