Information about virtual graduations, community celebrations, how to pick up your graduation goodies + more!
Worldwide, the class of 2020 is completing high school in a way that looks different than anyone could have expected. Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) is committed to offering each of our seniors an in-person graduation ceremony, as traditionally as possible, as soon as it can safely be done. We know that that time may still be months away and have planned some exciting recognitions across the district to celebrate this special class in ways that can be safely experienced from home. On this site you’ll find more information about scheduled virtual graduations, how to receive caps, gowns, and diploma covers, as well as how to return and retrieve items at your school, and what community celebrations are in store.
Seniors are encouraged to wear their cap and gown during the ceremony, move the tassel from their right side to the left side as their name is read, and share a photo of themselves using the hashtag #JCPSClassof2020.
