In order to be nominated for a State office, the person must have served in the same role on the district level. Eligibility for these offices can be found here.
Please feel free to nominate anyone who is eligible to serve using this google form. Nominations will cease at our District 12 Fall Meeting.
These awards are to honor those who exemplify excellence or support in music education. Nominations will be made in the summer for the district level. Nominators will submit applications for award winners to be considered for the state level award (October 1st deadline) and the state level winner will be named at the KMEA Conference the following February.
Previous recipients of a state-level awards may not be considered for that award (at the same level) again.

To honor an individual in the field of music education who has given continuous and exceptional service to KMEA.
Previous recipients of a state-level Citation for Service award may not be considered for that award (at the same level) again.
