We offer several fun and unique events throughout the year for students and staff to participate and compete, building a climate and culture centered around respect, relationship building, and cooperation. These events are for everyone - you can play or stay!
Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser
Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser
September 19th during the school day (rain date 9/22)
Each team will walk the bus circle for 35 minutes to raise money for KMS clubs, events, activities, and athletics! Students will have other fun opportunities to get out of class, hang out with their friends, and have fun based on their donation amounts - activities include pizza party, ice cream social with all the toppings, throw a pie in the face of certain staff, walk to McDonald's for a free lunch, and bubble ball tournament!

Fall KICKBALL Tournament
The 2025-26 Kickball Tournament will be on October 28th (rain date 10/29)
The event is held after school from 3:40 - 6:00 on our back field. Students that sign up to play are placed on teams - the teams are led by the teachers and each team will compete for the Golden Boot Trophy! The KONA Ice truck will be there selling slushies, we will have snacks and drinks to purchase, music, and more! Parents and families are welcome to bring your pop up chairs and blankets and watch all the fun.

Students purchase tickets at lunch the day of the event. They will get a wristband which will allow them to stay after and participate.
Any student who has had ISAP, a referral, or a suspension prior to the event will not be allowed to participate. Don't let that be you!
KMS Staff & Student TRIVIA Night
KMS Staff & Student TRIVIA Night
A fun night where students compete against eachother and staff for the GOAT Trophy! January 20th from 6:00 - 8:00 in the gym. Student teams of up to 8 will compete. Teams will be judged on their team theme. Want to play? Sign up HERE!

This is a new event we are really excited about. It is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Students will sign up using a link that will be posted here in the fall. Students will be selected to play and placed on teams based on a lottery system. This event will take place in the winter. (date will be posted soon) The event is from 3:30 - 5:30 in the school gym. Once selected, students will get a permission slip off the wall!

Girl's Flag Football Tournament
Girl's Flag Football Tournament
This fun filled annual event features our amazing KMS ladies competing for the Pink Football Trophy! 8th grade football players sign up to coach a team, and a teacher sponsor oversees the practices and games. The games are played in May, typically after Derby. The event right after school from 3:30 - 5:30. The KONA Ice truck sells slushies!
