1. JCTMS Chromebook Policy
All students and parents must sign and return the JCPS Everyone:1 Device Usage Agreement prior to receiving a JCTMS Chromebook and AC adapter.
All students will only use a JCTMS issued Chromebook. (Personal devices are not allowed at JCTMS.)
The Chromebook assigned to a student when they start at JCTMS will remain assigned to that student until they leave JCTMS. (For example: A 6th grade student will use the same device all three years.)
A digital record will document all requests for Chromebook repair. This digital record will follow each student during their time at JCTMS.
Students will turn in their assigned Chromebook and AC adapter prior to the end of the school year for Inventory purposes.
2. JCTMS Chromebook Repair Policy
Students are expected to care for their JCTMS issued Chromebook and AC adapter.
All repairs to JCTMS issued Chromebooks are to be submitted by JCTMS school personnel for JCPS IT to repair.
Students are to notify a teacher about an issue with their Chromebook and the teacher will reach out to the correct JCTMS school personnel for support.
Families will be notified by email or a telephone call when a device has been damaged and the family is responsible for a fee to cover repair costs.
