Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) Resources

The goal of this page is to keep our teachers and community informed about the two major assessments required by state law. The first is the Kentucky Summative Assessment  which is administered to 5th, 8th, and 11th grade students. Each assessment is a "end of sequence" exam that includes all standards for a grade band, i.e. K-5, 6-8, and 9-11.

*2020 KSA Practice Tests and Key/Rubric help students get a "feel" for the test as it will appear in Test Nav.

**2022 KSA Released Items includes two sets. 

• KSA Items includes released test questions and test stats. The test stats show a key, aligned standards, percentages, and a demographic breakdown for the state. 

• KSA Student Responses include an annotation and 3 different sets of student responses (Pearson has labeled anchor, practice, and qualifications). The annotations provide scores and notes that provide insight into to scoring of the assessment.
