ServSafe is a food safety training and certification program developed by the National Restaurant Association. It is widely recognized in the food service industry and teaches employees and managers how to handle food safely, prevent foodborne illnesses, and comply with health regulations. It supports our students by building job related vocabulary, developing workplace communication skills, improving their reading and listening skills, connecting English learning to employment, and supporting workforce readiness.
Build practical food safety skills and earn a ServSafe certification in food handling or food protection. The certification is recognized by many federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Some jurisdictions require food service establishments to have at least one certified food protection manager; requirements vary by location.
