I am truly excited and honored to be an assistant principal at Grace M. James Academy of Excellence and continue the legacy of achieving academic success It is highly important to establish a solid foundation and support the new G.E.M.S. as they get acclimated to learning in innovative ways that are tailored to their unique and diverse needs while exhibiting their values of C.R.O.W.N. My goal is for every student to feel confident, empowered, and supported throughout their entire educational journey and be fully prepared for the endless possibilities that await them. Queen Latifah's words best describe the overall experience at GMJ; "Be bold, be brave enough to be your true self.”

I am honored to serve as an assistant principal at Grace M. James Academy of Excellence. With over 15 years of serving students in JCPS, I bring my passion of SEL, building strong student-family relationships, community partnerships, and equity to the G.E.M.S at GMJ. I pledge to be a vital component of the innovative learning community. In the words of Serena Williams: “The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up.” 

It is an absolute honor to work alongside everyone at Grace James as we create a space where GEMS can thrive and flourish educationally and personally. I am committed to making sure that each GEMS voice is heard and that they are celebrated during their time at Grace James. "Anything you do, let it come from you. I am proud to be a Counselor at the Grace James Academy of Excellence. I have been an educator for 20 years and have a passion for helping all students reach their full potential.  My mission is to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students by empowering our girls to be to be the G.E.M.S they are destined to be. I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of them. 

It is an honor and privilege to serve as a counselor at the Grace M. James AcademyAof Excellence. I have served JCPS families, students and school communities for nearly 20 years. As a Gemkeeper, I am committed to preparing our G.E.M.S.  for greatness by ensuring they receive opportunities to discover their strengths using C.R.O.W.N. values. I will provide G.E.M.S. with academic and social-emotional support while exploring college & career opportunities.  I am committed to working with all G.E.M.S. and other stakeholders to provide opportunities for collaboration, excellence, and growth in our school community

I am so honored and excited to start my school counseling journey at Grace James Academy of Excellence this upcoming school year. I am looking forward to continuing to carry on the amazing legacy that is being built at Grace James during my tenth year in education. As a former math teacher, I am excited about learning and connecting our G.E.M.S. to more STEM opportunities while continuing to explore their post-secondary options.

I am blessed and honored to serve at Grace M. James Academy as a professional school counselor. I am committed to providing our GEMS equitable access to opportunities to thrive in an inclusive environment where they are seen and heard.
