The library staff strives to create an environment that welcomes all patrons and encourages creativity and reflection. Highlights of the available opportunitiesin the library are as follows:

  • Computers with Internet access and printer capability

  • The book collection includes fiction, nonfiction, biography, graphic novels, and reference.

  • Tables for whole-class instruction, small groups, and independent study.

  • Reading area

  • Nook Book Club

Library Media Center Mission

  • To empower students to become enthusiastic readers, information seekers, and creative problem solvers. To provide classroom support to help grow lifelong learners with the inquiry skills needed to be ethically responsible, successful, and mindful.

Circulation Policy

  • Students may check out a maximum of 4 books at a time

  • No late fines are charged

  • Students with lost or overdue books cannot check-out materials

  • Students are charged a lost book fee at replacement cost

Fairdale High School Library is a safe place for all where students can:

  • Read fiction, nonfiction, biography, graphic novels, and reference books

  • Reflect

  • Be creative

  • Learn new technology skills and access electronic resources

  • Access computers with internet access and printer capability

  • Practice their mindfulness skills

  • Participate in whole group, small group and independent study
