Welcome to Fairdale High School!  It is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to our school community.  Every day we work hand in hand with our students, staff, parents and guardians, and the community at large to provide the best possible learning experience for every student.  Our mission is to prepare each child for post secondary education.  Our vision for Fairdale High School is to engage all students in high quality, innovative and successful learning experiences in every classroom.  We will be a model of innovative and equitable teaching and lifelong learning.  Fairdale students will be critical thinkers capable of persevering through complex concepts. Fairdale will remain among the most highly desired schools in JCPS by students, parents and guardians, employees, and our surrounding community.  We believe that all students can learn given the proper time and motivation.  We are committed to working with each student on a standards-based curriculum, common assessments, using data to drive instruction, requiring demonstrations of learning, developing individualized intervention and acceleration plans, and using all time available until ALL students have achieved success.  We believe that effective school improvement is a collaborative culture focused on student learning.  We are committed to collaborating with each other and with you to provide the best teaching and learning experiences to ALL students.  We believe teachers can make the greatest difference in helping all students learn.  We are committed to do what is best for our students and to be constant support for their social, emotional, and academic growth and success.
