Logging into Infinite Campus (IC):
Instructions for logging into Infinite Campus (IC).
Explore the different features available, such as Discussions, Questions, and Engagement that are setup for our class.
Complete the user research questionnaire in Google Forms (found below and in your Design Thinking Workbook) by answering the provided questions.
In your Design Thinking Workbook, write down six questions that you want to ask your classmates about their experience using Infinite Campus.
These questions should help you understand their perspective, challenges, and needs when using the platform.
Example questions:
How do you usually access Infinite Campus? (mobile app, web browser, etc.)
What are the main challenges you face when using Infinite Campus?
How would you improve the Discussion feature in Infinite Campus?
What features or functionalities do you find most helpful in Infinite Campus?
How often do you use the Engagement feature in Infinite Campus?
What frustrates you the most about using Infinite Campus?
Conducting the Interview:
Find a classmate who is willing to be interviewed about their experience with Infinite Campus.
Ask the six questions you have prepared, and jot down detailed notes of their answers.
Listen carefully and ask follow-up questions to gain deeper insights.
Have at least three goal tasks in mind for the "user" to complete for this activity (such as: logging into Infinite Campus, checking Grades for a class, using the Engagement feature, using the Question feature, using the Discussion Forum feature, etc.)
Observations:
Choose another classmate and observe them as they log in and use Infinite Campus.
Pay attention to their actions, behaviors, and any challenges they encounter.
Take notes on your observations and any interesting observations you make.
Only ask them to complete the goal task that you are observing. (Try not to guide them to completing the goal, but take notes on the experience and just observe)
Record your findings in the Design Thinking workbook.
Duplicate the Empathize Slides and conduct two additional interviews and observations to gain more insights for your case study.
This will enhance your research and make your case study more authentic.
