PROCESS:

Kentucky Derby is the biggest 2-minute sport with billions of dollars in revenue to KY. Unfortunately, we do not see as many African Americans as there were at the start of the sport. The first jockey to ever win the Kentucky Derby was an African American on Aristides. With a little help from one of my school teachers Ms. Peterson, we were able to get an interview with Mr. John Hill the African American trainer.

I read the information on Kentucky Derby and wrote down questions that I would need to ask. I shared it with my teacher. With the help of my teacher, we set up the XA 50 Video Camera. We tested our mics and then started asking questions.

Once I had completed the interview, I went around and took pictures and videos of the training facility to use for this documentary.

My teacher helped combine all of the videos and images to make it into a documentary video.

My mom and sister were also present to help with the videography and the questions.

All other sources of information are added to the video.
