My name is Emma and I am the SSN teacher at WRHS. I have my bachelor's degree in Special Education from University of Northern Colorado and am currently working on my masters in Autism and Developmental Disabilities through University of Texas. This is my second year teaching at WRHS. When I am not at work, I love traveling, hanging out with my family ( especially my two nephews :)) and reading.

My love for and journey of working with children who have special needs began as a live-in volunteer at an orphanage for a year, in the Baja California of Mexico. I spent 7 years with the SPED program in Boulder Valley School District. I have worked full time and part time for families with children who have special needs for over 20 years. I have been with the Jeffco Public Schools since the fall of 2016. It’s so exciting to see students continuing to make progress in learning and becoming active in their communities!I like comedies, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, playing board games and card games, walking and hiking. My most treasured time is spent with my family, my boyfriend and my friends. I love doing arts and crafts projects with my nieces and nephews that focus on how special they are.
